After kilning the timber is graded by the final quality before packaging. Work is mostly done by camera-based grading system.
Grading plants are quite similar to dimension sorting plants. Both ase using vertical and diagonal bins. At this point the ends are trimmed and the pieces are cut to their final length. Alongside the visual quality grading also the strength grading can be done.
